A 26-second spec ad for Kitsch's satin heatless curling set, a long satin rod you sleep in. It's a night-to-morning story in one generation, with her hair in three different states that have to stay in order. The idea came from Kitsch's own line, "Hot hairstyles without the heat". At night she wraps her hair around the rod, in the morning she slides it out, and the curls drop.
What I did
I read how Kitsch says to use it, step by step, and kept their claims: no heat, less frizz and less breakage thanks to the satin, worn overnight. The character is Sofia, generated in GPT Image 2 from an image I first made in Higgsfield's Soul, with platinum hair and silver hoops. The hard part was the hair. The model had never seen a satin rod on a head, or curls made without heat, so I gave it a reference for each state: her own waves, the rod worn the way the brand shows it, and the finished curls. Then the bedroom, lit by a lamp at night and by daylight in the morning. Nine shots, and she talks through all of them.
What I changed
The first Sofia had long straight honey-blonde hair and satin pyjamas. I replaced her with a new Sofia, with platinum waves, and changed the outfit to a pale blue knit set that matches her. Because her hair was already wavy, the curls had to look clearly different: defined, bouncy and glossy. And the hair states went into the prompt as a strict order: waves, then the rod, then the curls, never the curls before the rod comes out.
What I learned
A transformation needs a picture of every stage, not just the before and the after. Write the order of the states as a rule the model can't skip. And when the hair already has waves, the result has to look clearly different, or the transformation doesn't read.
